this. You went there and pick it up, got a chance to inspect it and make a decision. He didn't put a gun in your head and tell you to buy it or he will shoot you.

It's different if he shipped it to you and lied abt the description. How do we know you didn't cause that bent when loading it ect ect.

^ I agree with them. You are at fault too for buying them. You even said both wheels had "apparent bends". If they were so apparent, you should have noticed when you were picking up the wheels or even before you brought them to the shop, at the least.

I know these things happen, but come on.

I agree it is my fault for not checking thoroughly and taking his word on it. I checked the faces for the rash, but didn't think to check the backside. Like I said, I'm not crying about the bends being there rather his word not being worth a scrap. Don't forget to add to the fact that he covered up the car was on fire (because why would a "scrap" car have panels of fresh primer after a fire? lol) and his shady business tactics.

TLDR? It's a few posts up.

You sells a bunch of stuff here. Just imagined all your previous buyer do the same thing. And being in the car scene and looking at some shady stories, the last thing you wanna do is 'trust their word for it'.

This is just a minor purchase. Just imagine buying a big purchase like a house or something . Lesson learned and there's no use bashing the sellers.

And no, I'm not his butt buddies, friend or related to him. I'm just looking at the situation as the middle man.

there is a simple test to make sure the wheels are round and true ..get a racket ball .. put a thump tach and a string attached to it ..the racket ball will squeeze in the center of most wheels .. take the string and circle the edge of the wheel .. the rest should be obvious .. do that to the front and rear ..

for possible cracks you can rub a pencil on an area that way appear to have a crack and wipe it off with toilet paper .. a small crack will show .don't wipe hard .. just like your butt

if your going to use pep-boys audio..im asuming you will ducktape them in and supperglue the wires....and then get flame skull stickers and a wing for the roof of your ford festiva and mis matched neons with 15 in spinners...
