    Engine management choices; [SR20DET] yo!

    AEM

    Apexi PowerFC

Discuss why you prefer one or think one is better for performance usage only. Not because it looks cooler...
but of course looks always play a percentage somewhere, no matter what you say!

Price isn't a HUGE key factor ( not to say money is no object ) just because we don't want price to pick the better choice.

    OK GO!

Look, all the "JDM" kids are going to say Power FC.....ask any tuner in Atlanta Scott Segal, Tuners at balanced, battleground, mainstream, and what ever else. AEM is more up to date, you have better Tech support, and the tuners say it is easier to tune. My friend and I set up his on his S13 with S14 sr. It's awesome, and easy to install. He is running a MAP sensor BTW and had it tuned at Balanced Performance.

I have experience with both AEM S-2 and A'pexi Power FC.

The cord on the Power FC Commander is obviously a choking hazard.

AEM cuz of quality and user friendly. Power FC cuz it's a little more plug and play oriented. But over all AEM cuz I've known a few that the power FC just quit on them and could't use theirs cars anymore til they either got a new unit or had theirs repaired. But thats just my opinion.

Should have put a note for only advice from people that have used said products not just what they seen't on a forum.

I had PFC and it worked fine, just way overkill for my application so I sold it.
