s13s have all wheel braking?

I just got roasted on a maxima forum for saying s13s didnt have all wheel braking. But I've seen allot of people in s13s get on the brakes and do burn outs, and ive been in cars doing burn outs while on the brakes. And I've never smelled brakes burning or anything. If they had all wheel braking it would kill the rear brakes right? I always assumed it was front braking only, and the rears were for the ebrake.

Well I found that out the hard way. Still seems like even with a low bias in the back, it would kill the brakes when doing burn outs

A little bit of google might have done the job on this one, but the S13 does have all wheel braking; but it is a proportioned system, so a small portion of the breaking power is transferred to the rear wheels. There is the potential to warp rear rotors if a burnout is done for long enough to bring the rotors and pads to the appropriate temperature to do something like that.

Additionally, a possible explanation for why you didn't smell burning brakes is that when a burnout is in progress, the rear wheels are usually moving a good deal of air as they spin, and could be pushing away the smell and cloud of brake particulates.

If you have ever been in the rear wheel-wells of an S13 and played around with the rear brake calipers, you would notice that there is both a fluid line and cable-assisted hook up on the calipers. This is indicative that the caliper is operated by both the pedal, and the e-brake.
