I have a film that is a little over 1 GB, I need to transport it to a computer with a DVD burner (right in the next room). My computer doesnt have a DVD burner...only a CD burner..and obviously 1gb+ cannot fit onto a cd...I tried putting it in a .RAR and splitting the file putting each part on a seperate disk..but when i try to extract them on the other computer it says they are corrupt...what can I do?

Save as ISO image. Or save yourself trouble in the future and just go buy a dvd burner. Its a plug and play operation.

Waiter: You want cigarettes on that sandwich?
Customer: What do I look like, a Mary? Of course
    I want cigarettes.

Are both computers connected to a switch or router?

Both are connected via router. I know it is possible to remote access another computer on your network..but Im ignorant as to how lol.

OK so they both have an IP address. Find out the IP address of the machine with the DVD Burner. You could also just find out the machine name.

On the computer with the file click start, then run. In the run window type \\*whatever you machine name is\c$

    or

    \\*IP Address\c$

That will bring up the c drive of the dvd machine.

    Copy the file over.

    Done.

there is a way to do it without all that trouble
    first download utorrent from utorrent.com
then after you have finished initializing the program and put in your settings create a torrent instructions for this are here http://torrentfreak.com/how-to-create-a-torrent/ after you create the torrent file send the torrent file via e-mail and then open the torrent on your other computer and download the video file after you do that you can then do whatever you wish with that file
