What kind of seats do you have in your car?

If you have S14 seats, or S13 ones with the removable headrests, atleast the passenger one, theres a pretty easy way to make one I saw a few years back.

Basically, you get 2 peices of like, box steel, thats about 1/2, get two bolts and wingnuts, and drill it at the ends, so you can take it apart.

Then measure where the bars at the headrests are, and with both peices of steel bolted together, drill in the center a hair bigger than the head rest bars are, wrap all the holes with electrical tape.

Then on the other end, drill the size of the screw that goes in the bottom of your camera, and get the screw knob thing for it, put it all together on the seat, then bolt the camera to it, and go have fun.

I've been meaning to make one for my hatch for the longest time, just never got around to it.
Shouldn't cost more than about $10-15 to make one.

I'll see if I can find the old write up.

at like best buy, wolf camera, THE INTERNET, has suction cup mounts, with a screw at the top to hold the camera with. used it before, like it as long as your camera is shock resistant so it keeps the video still...

I made something like this and it worked OK, the passenger seat had to be in a weird position to take good video though (in my S13 the seat back had to be past vertical).

Hmm, never thought about that problem.
Could just make it where it pivots, like, with another set of steel or something.

yeah I was planning on making a v2, but sold the car. I was going to use flat stock and twist it a little bit.

Ccould just get like, a GPS mount, and mod that.

Or use the like, screw things that have the notches in them on the end of the steel on the seat?
