    Need a bit of help...

I'm wanting to put on my carbon fiber hatch I've had for a while now. It doesn't have the window on it.

    So my questions...

Where and how do I get a window to fit the hatch? ( I don't want to go to home depot and cut it out with a butter knife)

How much and how hard can it really be? (I'm sure I can do it myself I just don't know where to look or what tools it takes. I'm not looking to take off and old glass window from my hatch and stick that on it... it would be back to 100lbs again)

I think that does it...? Stupid questions I know...

Thanks in advance!!! reps for sure.

I haven't heard of anything else being used other than plexiglass.

    Or Lexan

    I've read/heard the same.

Any ideas of where to get it made or can I order a window thats pre fit or ready... which ever it maybe?

I'm just checking to see if its already a made thing and I don't have to make the window myself. Which isn't a big deal to me... but it makes its a little easier on me lol.

Is this a dd? or track car? If it is a DD then plexiglass is a bad idea b/c the sun will fade it spider webbed looking and blurry!!

plexiglass. I helped my friend to install a cf hardtop on his s2k and we have to put the plexiglass on by ourselves. We got the urethane adhesive from glass doctor and put that plexiglass on. The problem is you have to find some way to make the plexiglass to fit in the curve of the hatch and press against the hatch as hard as possible overnight. If not done right, water will get in, and you will have to redo it.

Lexan, 3M window sealant, rivets, saw. GO!

Make sure to add lots of rivets so when you open your front windows it doesn't blow the lexan out the back...

just run clear tape in rows over the whole thing. Then you're done! Just don't go through any automatic carwashes...
