alignments really depend on the car/driver setup.

best way i've found to do it is losen all the suspension, drive it hard, then tighten it wherever it settles in. everyone should do this.

Heh, self alignments are possible but very time consuming. You need a lot of tools and an entire set up somewhere flat. Theres a couple ways to do it. I wouldn't bother tho because I'd rather pay someone to do it than to spend all day on it...

GTE is a reputable alignment shop. Also self alignments are not so fun...you can use a string, also buy the laser/infared style line tools to do your own alignment, but really like said...easier to take to someone to get it done than to attempt yourself.

I am still waiting for the Tein Basic and will probably drive around to meet the guys you have suggested. I personally want to know the person who is working on my car. I would/might consider the lifetime alignment because I would eventually put the car to stock height when winter comes.
