01 Toyota Solara se v6

Wish I coulda had a video of it but the story is pretty accurate. Anyhoo On my way home from work going down old norcross headed to buford hwy. Coming to the light that crosses over Pleasant hill. Theres this older guy blaring 80s music in this redish burgandy Solara with the windows rolled down about 1/2 way and a #3 front license plate tag. Wel before the light even turns green (its still red) he just launches off the line completely running the red light. So I wait and just cruise when the light turns green. I pull up next to him again at the light crossing over Steve Reynolds. Hes got his car about 1/2 over the solid white line, my front bumper is at the line. I rev to about 3k, light turns green and I dump the clutch get a lil wheel spin and jump him about 1/2 a length go to shift in 2nd (get this) I miss shift! lol. But even though I miss shift I still pull on him about a 1 1/2 car length merge into his lane and just leave him from there. Thing is I woulda have even ran him if hadnt acted like an idot at the light crossing over pleasant hill. Who says young kids are the ones to act like idiots when in a car. Yes I know me racing him wasnt being an idiot but hell had to put this guy in his place :taunt:

There's a bit of a syndrome with kill stories I've noticed on all our forums... I don't think it can be a kill if it's not even an Aftermarket supported car. Solara? Does it have a following? :thinking:

Hmm... probably can get exhaust tips, drop springs and chrome rims. But I doubt anyone is selling Stage 2 cams.

That car has 200 bhp and weighs 3500 lbs. Wow. :p

That's a worse p/w ratio than a stock 240sx has. So... not a kill... that's an unnecessary vehicular homicide.

That's really just not even a race I don't think based on the description. He was probably just an a-hole in a hurry... Unless there was some obvious engagement, like him goading you. Sounds like he didn't care much and was just going fast because he wanted to... I would need some supporting evidence that he wanted to race you, like interaction. And then I'd want to know why? Either way... of course you beat that car. You're supposed to. Congratulations?

Just coming across saying young kids arent the only ones who act like idiots wanting to race everyone... And thx for all the negative comments.. ya sure its not a fast car.. but neither is a stock 240.
