Sup guys

Other than informing me, we can use this thread to show everyone else where shops to get mechanist work done are and how reputable they are.

obviously, im first with the first question :D

Does any one know where a machine shop is ( a good reputable one)
I need to get my flywheel resurfaced..
around snellville / lilburn / stone mountain maybe??

Also, whats the BEST place to get a diff welded?

Thanks ahead of time for the info!

alot of people suggest Mainstream for welding the diff..
if you know how to weld yourself, maybe give it a shot

theres a writeup on 240sxforums.com somewhere.

hm.. no clue about the flywheels.
i heard ka flywheels are supposed to be "stepped" when resurfaced..
because we have a slight convex surface, iirc.

Mainstream is where it's at for welding diffs... Turbo Dave is the man at welding diffs... In and out was about 15 minuts for me to get mine done and it is quality welds...

oh and
I found this place to resurface my flywheel

If you live in Snellville, its on highway 78, on the end of the road ( other side of intersection) near that 4X4 shop.
looks like a quality place... we'll see i get the flywheel back tomorrow

oh and shit...i never told them that it had to be stepped..shit..is that going to mess anything up?

PS. it only $35 to, sounds pretty good to me

The guy I took all my stuff to at the local machine shop died a couple years back, so I have kind of went to different places since. But no real major work.

I would say TopHat would do most of the stuff. Other than that, just do like me and get out the ol' yellow pages.

NTL - If you are going to the trouble and expense to resurface your flywheel I would like to offer a suggestion. Donot bother with the resurface job and purchase a quality "Aluminum" flywheel. It will add about $150 dollars to the overall budget but you will be happy with the added benefits. I did this swap not to long ago and it was worth my troubles. It goes without saying that you will need to replace your clutch and pressure plate. I installed the ACT heavy duty street and it holds just fine. Clutch pressure seems stock to me. Hope this helps you.
