View Full Version : Other forums and mods...
Just had an experience with a mod on another car forum. It is a forum that i've been a member of for many years and have had quite a few unplesant experiences with their mods and owner... They don't seem like theyre out to help anyone and are just power hungry looking for something to delete or someone to get on to... For instance, deleting a thread instead of simply moving it.
Anyone else had crappy experiences with a mod or forum owner?

Personally? Yes, but wasn't a car forum.
On a side note, I bought a front lip for my car off of ebay a couple weeks back and the guy I bought it from turned out to be RDM from freshalloy who was banned for making fun of a kid for trying to put skyline headlights on his s13.

Yeah, the purists at atl rx7 really gave me a hard time about my 5.9 FC7. I told them all I didn't like the car because of the engine but because of the body. Besides who in the hell wants to drive a cor with only 1.3 liters disp that gets as bad a gas mileage as a V8? Anyway I told them all to fuck themselves and boiled the tires as I left their club meeting at the Varsity.

But at the same time, if you indeed didn't have pictures, and the forum required pictures why didn't you just wait until you returned to post the thread with the required pictures?
Thats like.. Trying to get into a club, saying that you will turn 21 in a couple days, but you still want to get in.
I personally never have had problems with any mods. Except QD, but who the hell hasn't.

Nuff said.
Heh, wasn't origionally speaking of IA but yeh. IA is not a car forum. Its a lifestyles forum. If you need something w/ cars don't go there LOL... Now for entertainment... thats a different story :)
Specifically i was refering to an integra forum...

On a place like freshalloy or alike, I could see where they would tollerate flaming noobs. Hell, I am a pretty regular on the kills forum on Honda-Tech. They are brutal. On this forum (no offense) there seems to be more tolerance for newbies. That being said, I know I don't that much but it is nice to have some local young ones (I am 27) that I am able to give some of my knowledge to.
And the debate of hypereutectic vs. forged can go on and on and on. Most will agree forged pistons are more tolerable of predetonation.
