Andy I am really liking these kumho ecsta SPTs I got on here. They stick and they have had good life so far as much as I beat the hell out of them. I gave gotten more than 10k out of them. They were 87 a pc for 225\45 17s. which will fit your Spec V wheels.

Another fairly decent one is the Fuzion ZRi. These are a couple dollars less than the SPT, but I like the SPT better.

I have been shopping at tirerack the past few times

I usually only buy 2 tires at a time though. Cas I will rape the shit out of the front tires, then switch them to the rear and roll on them for about 5k while I destory another set of front tires.

It doesnt get cold enough here to affect their performance much at all. The only time I ever feel anything different is while I am toodling down the road waiting for my motor to water up. Once they warm up they are good to go.

Just as a comparsion when I had the 225 ZRis on when I no lift shift from 1st to 2nd with them I also stopped dead and lit the tires up. The SPTs I do that it chirmps the tires then they stick. I autox'd on them and they stuck better than the dirrezas I have on my rear.

I am going to buy the SPTs again.

I go to discount tire just about everytime. It just depends on the actual store I guess. The one over here in gainesville is good, and the one on state's bridge is good as well. Discount tire will also match the prices from tirerack if you dont want to order them.

how do i prove that tirerack has them cheaper?

Just do the check out thing and then show them the invoice (before you pay) of your total from tire rack. Print it then just show it to them.

If you dont need tires right now though it is much easier just to have them shipped to you then throw them in the back and go get them mounted.

the best damn tire and alignment shop, period.

top notch customer service and knowledge, and unlike ordering online they can handle your transaction from start to finish. they also actively support the local roadracing and drift groups.

They wont match over the phone though.

It is usually $60 for mount and balance of all 4. The tires though should only be about $400+tax. If you get them to match tire rack.

Tire rack usually ships things pretty quick. I usually get my stuff in about 2 or 3 days with normal shipping.
