Didn't know if there were any other info to it. Like It was in a school zone and he managed to ditch the cops, I dunno. Were you tagged via laser ro radar? if radar were you offered to see the calibration? etc

If you dont know me in person you prolly hadnt heard the story yet.
The story behind the it is that I got pulled over by a out of jurisdiction cop whose car wasnt label well on the front end. He did not get me on radar or laser. I slowed down for work zone, I was still speeding alil like 15 mph over. He follows me all the way through the work zone and pulls me over right at the end work zone signs. Then calls a county cop since he is out of his jurisdiction to write me a ticket. I was speeding going faster 90 in a 65, yes I will pleed guility to that if it comes up in court, but I was not doing it in the 55 mph work zone. The other thing I have to dispute is that the cop that wrote the ticket did not look at the dash cam, radar gun, or a laser gun before writing the ticket. Just merely chatted with the out of jurisdiction cop.
In this story we are both in the wrong, he shouldnt have pulled more over without a proper way of detecting speed. He also shouldnt have pulled more over cas he was out of his jurisdiction. That is why I say fucking cops. Also I shouldnt have been going that fast...

This guy it wasnt his job to be watching that part of the state. He should have been watching the streets and highways in alpharetta, not in cumming and in forsyth county.

erm pacing is a way of detecting speed. look at your ticket and it will say how the speed was measured.
anywhoo sounds like a case of hearsay.

The method of speed dection is 'patrol car'
Ya that is what I was thinking...

i dunno then because he has "evidence" of recording your speed..... where as in my case where hearsay was applied i got off because it was just one off duty cop telling another officer what happened and it was speculative.
technically pacing is a form of speed detection..... i guess you could contest by asking that his speedo be calibrated but i dunno.
It doesn't really sound like you're going to get out of this one... I'd say just do everything you can to get it dropped while you're in court. Maybe go ahead and do the defensive driving course and take the cert. to court to prove you did it and plead that they drop the charges down so you don't loose your license or something...

Good good good...
Yes I was going 104 in a 65. The officer wrote it up in specail po po code on the ticket hat he wanted me to get a 104 in a 65 not a 104 in a 55 ticket. Which is good so I dont have to contest it.
$75 dollar Defensive Driving course

Prolly going alil faster than you were also...
Well I didnt have a chance of getting my license revoked since I found out I only had 4 points on my license. You need 15 to get it revoked if you are over 21. I would have only had 10 then.
I looked at that deal and said hell ya cas I would rather pay $875 ish now then pay over upwards of $40 per month higher to the insurance company for the next 3 years...

This is true, the only thing I was going to use the video for was to get out of the extra 1000 bucks of the double your money work zone area thing. Cas he prolly has me about 400 yrds out going that 104 on his dash cam, but it would have also shown me slowing down before the work zone, and him following me through the work zone at the speed limit. Which would have gotten atleast the 104 in a 55 changed to a 104 in a 65 which saves me about 1000 bucks.
Oh well done and over with and got out pretty clean, and I havent gone over 85 without someone going faster in front of me or with me since I got this ticket so. I hope to stay clean for a while...

Haha try 130+ in a 60 with a gsp behind for 10 miles. Cop must've woke up on the right side of the bed b/c I ended up with a 100 in a 70 instead.
The reason they gave you that "deal" is bc the fines would not have been as hi had you lost your license. thus taht was a revenue generator for them that they did not have to give to the state had you been fined an actual point based moving violation. But the one part you are wrong about is that it would not have mattered how many points you ahve if you are driving over 100 miles an hour they are required to take your license, unless they work out a "deal" like they did with you. just a few fyi's I have learned.

Nah they are trying to prevent darwinism from taking its course (impossible feat), as well as trying to get money...
Then why does europe have so much higher speed limits from ours and they have less accidents...

Nah dude the stupid thing was that I had 2 other tickets (17+16 over) and those are each worth 3 points each which puts me at 6 points. Well comes to find out that they only put 2 points for each ticket on there for a total of 4 points. Of course there were no points for the 90 - 65 ticket I had cas I pled no-lo.
I think what they did though is that the defensive driving course is worth -7 points. I have to take this by court order which cancels out the 6 points I was supposed to get for this ticket.
I will take a Defensive driving course with ya on a weekend some time :D

Correct if I am not mistaking, interesting I forgot about that. I might be able to clean my entire record off depending on how they manage things...
How many points do you have on your's?
