Can anyone recommend some good motor mounts for just a KA? Maybe a link as well?
Any info helps.
Thanks.

someone tell me why i cant just frekin make a motormout ... that keeps the engine from moving PERIOD
like a solid metal mount...
whats the problem why does the motor have to move around?

people make solid mounts all the time. Its just not a very streetable option. Solid mounts are really shakey let alone solid metal "hotrod" mounts.

"Can't" If you have plasma and welder, can't doesn't exisist. Sure it's not always pretty but it works. To give you an idea of the reason mostly don't use them for a street car Go rent an 8o pound jackhammer and rest your chin on the handle while youbust up some concrete.

hmm
making solid mounts for the 2jz swap would be easier than making non solid ones =D
i can just weld some metal and make bolt plates n stuff
ill prolly try solids first
or mod a set of my ka mounts
2jz ftw
Yah it feels great... Just depends on what you're willing to live with tho. I know in my case I am shooting for a go-kart feel so...

I will never do solid mounts again. I have seen more than one motor loose the rod bearing because of them. If you are looking for a cheap alternative, you can use liquid nail to make the stock ones harder. There was a thread on FA about them not long ago.

Make sure your mounts aren't torn to shreads first... If they are already messed up it won't do you mutch good...

Very true. That stuff is only so strong. I think I tore mine first time I cranked it with the cams and no tranny mount.

I ended up picking up some stock mounts from Tophat for like 85 bucks. 2 motor mounts and a tranny mount.
