does anybody on this site have a SR20DE?

Im thinking about getting a S14 SR20DE and turbocharging it, they make crazy power because of their compression..

this guy funk that I know has a s13 hatch with a NA SR that he turbocharged and he makes like 269 hp with 6psi, front mount, megan manifold, rom tune, full straight pipe exhaust, downpipe and s14 turbo injectors

My buddy just got one out of a front clip and put it in his sentra. Kinda neat :).

That would be a pretty cool swap. Something different I suppose,

BUT since when is 270hp crazy power? :)

You can do that with any high compression motors. Look at stock block hondas. You could put higher compression pistons in a DET and make around the same power. You just have to remember with this setup you are limited to how good your tuning is. They do have however, more off boost power.

Man, don't waste your money. There is a reason Nissan turboed the one they put in the Silvias and 180s, the engines are completly different. ;)

the sentras come with the sr20de stock, the one voya (thesnail) put in his is a sr20ve. i dont think they ever made sr20ve for rwd but im not sure.

personally i think a sr20de in a 240sx is a downgrade from the ka24de. also if the sr20de is that good once its turboed, why would most sentra owners swap to the sr20det from the pulsar?

If I'm not mistaken the GT300 S15 based its motor on the SR20DE and turbocharged it rather than using a factory SR20DET block.

i dont think its a waste of money, the motor is cheaper and you make alot of power out of it, whats the point of putting higher compression pistons in a SR20DET when you can get a NA SR20DE and already have high compression and turbocharge it no problem and make an ass load of power??

I think its cool, and i dont know why sentra owners dont just turbocharge their SR20DE's instead of getting the pulsar gti-r SR20DET... could be because of miles and reliability..

idk

uh. high compression + turbo = no.... you dont see honda guys running 12:1 and 13:1 slapping on a turbo kit and going to town. basically the same thing here. sr20's love low compression

high compression with low boost it should be fine right?
