I was planning on using a SOHC temp sensor (lower rad hose) to send the signal to start my taurus e-fan up, but I've read someone saying not to use it because it doesn't come on until 205F.

Opinions?

You could wire the fans to a switch that you have to turn on.

Or you could just wire the fans to come on with the ignition.

No, and No.

I don't want to be bothered with having to remember each time to turn it on and I don't want the fan running from the time I start the car (i.e. on all the time).

I'm looking for a semi-stock setup. :(

I already have everything on this picture, minus the 5amp fuse:

I'm just asking is 195F too high of a temp to come on at.

The one I got from Summit is a 180 on, 170 off.

I still have the one I pulled outta my car this weekend, sorry for not PMing you back.
Although, if it doesnt come on til 205, Id do like AFSil80 says and just get the universal ones from Summit. Seems like you would want it to come on at operating temp, and I think that is like, 190 on a 240, IIRC.

Yeah, I already bought one :(

I found the temp info out after I bought one. I was in such a rush to buy one, I didn't research enough before buying it. I'll look into other ones.
