Hey guys last nite i was at the varsity...And i was pulling into the parking lot riding around for a parking space...Well while doing this i started to notice it was hard to go in gear but i kinda never really paid attention to it...Well when i was about to circle around my clutch pop and went straight to the floor...I couldn't really see that nite to know the problem...So i just got a list of idea's in my head about what it could be...Clutch Master Cylinder...Slave Cylinder...Dampner box...Air in the lines...So i get it towed home last nite...Whopping 100 dollars BLAHHHHHH....So this morning i get under the car to check the slave because i replaced the Clutch master cylinder 2 years back and didn't really think i would go out again...Well when i got under the car to look at the slave cylinder...It looked weird...Very the piston/push rod was going at a diagonal angle not straight as i think it is suppose to extend....So heres a picture of it you guys tell me what you think...Also the pictures i could not take at a level angle not all of them at least...But from my perspective the end of that rod is bent and also the part fro the cylinder itself to the fork lever...http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c265/lazyboi444/Slavecylinder4.jpg

P.S there looks like Dried up Fluid that may of come from the slave cylinder but not sure...Didn't get a chance to look last nite to see if it was really wet but today looks like it is or was i mean but dried up now...like a old pee stain lol...

First look says your slave went bad
but then i see that it is over extended, that MIGHT mean your pivot ball broke or the fork came off the pivot ball inside the bellhousing.
Take off the save cylinder form the bellhousing with the 2 14mm bolts, and see if the black fork is still attached, be careful not to detach it when your checking though.
If its the pivot ball, you got to pull the tranny, pray its not

Its your clutch fork. Its not connected inside the tranny.
You can tell from the outline of the rubber boot used to sit, and where it is now.
You have a white S13? I saw it getting towed away.

Ok the line " see if the black fork is still attached" is not clear to me. What do you mean? Another question... If the rod is going at a angle(BENT) the distance travel is shortier than the distance traveled if it was straight? Right...

The clutch fork. The metal piece that the slave pushes on. If you unbolt the slave, and that flops around everywhere, then you have to pull the tranny to fix it.

So Tyler...From the pictures you can definitely tell its the Fork from the Pictures? Yes that was me in the S13...I was so sad...Cuz it just popped while i was driving about to park...

Not fun work. Mine did this twice in a month.
As Tyler and Chad said, since your slave cylinder is over-extended, you knocked out the clutch fork. I'd probably get a new pivot ball if you other one is showing signs of wear. You should be able to get a Nismo one from any Nissan dealer.

Man this really really really sucks...Cuz i was about to do my suspension and now this happens...Well last thing to do is go pull it off and see..
Thing is though is it worth pulling the tranny? In my opinion i dont think so..Might as well get another motor then install a new one on the other motor lol...This sucks monkey balls...

Its a $250 repair at our shop. Plus parts.
Thats 10x cheaper then getting a new motor and tranny, and installation of it.

I decided to swap motors instead of replacing mine, and I'm still waiting on swap-related parts.
It's been about a month since my 240 last ran.
Take it from me!
You don't even have to pull your tranny off all the way. I did mine with the motor still tightened on the mounts. I pulled the tranny back far enough to where I could get my hand in there to put the clip back on. I had to turn the transmission so I could see what I was doing, but I got it done over the course of 3 nights while working full work days.
It's shitty work, but a new slave cylinder is like, $15!
EDIT: After seein Tyler's post, he's 100% correct. It's easier on the mind and wallet to just fix the current issue instead of swapping motors.

I had JUST gotten there when I saw your car being towed away. I was parked at the lower level, I had to do some ghetto shit to my car just to get it there, like hardwire tail lights for example. LoL..
But.. It will take just a few days, and we can do your suspension stuff at the same time.
Let me PM you.
