ok this is what happend when i jump started it i had it running for about 10 minutes... i checked the gauge and it was spiked all the way up i cut it off fast nothing major happend. but the thing is we let it sit for a while started it again and it was spiked but i could put my finger in the rad and that wasnt hot also the fans didnt kick on. i had the radiator hose off for a while so could that have somthing to do with it air lock?? would it be my thermostat or what? and help would be appreciated.
Sounds like the thermostat isn't kicking on?

yes thats what i thought to but when i got home i checked the fan fuse and that was blown put that in now the electric fan works and stays cool just a little higher than befor this whole mess tho but still not hot any ideas on that?
If your car got too hot it could have damaged the thermostat...

hm..
way i set up the fan was really "noobish"..
i didnt know much about wiring and i just used a blade fuse, i dont know if you changed that out or not, and linked it directly to battery.
did the fuse blow out before or after the battery relocation?
i would think the thermo should be fine.. if you were really compelled to test it, take it out and put it in a bucket of hot water and see what it does.

it works fine now and doesnt run hot at all ya you confused me with how you hooked it up but its all good now no damage done didnt get how just went up fast so i cut it off
