i have a sr blacktop and i would like the mph gauge to work i have a speed sensor in it but the wires are cut so far back you cant splice them. i know that its pink and white. but would the sohc speed sensor work?
for a 90 sohc cluster with silvia tach.

SR and KA sensors are the same I think. Weird I don't know that actually.
Only one different is S14 sensors.

SR and KA sensors are different no matter what year. If you use a SR sensor the speedo will read way faster.
you use the speed sensor that matches your cluster, so
if you have a USDM speedo then you use a USDM speed sensor, and a s13 senor will fit into an s14 tranny and vice versa.

Haha, I was a little off with that one eh?
But with the S14 Sensors they have different plugs. The S13 is a sensors with wiring attached, S14 is just the sensor with a direct plug.
