what all did you have to do to swap it into you car...

and was it worth it as opposed to the sr swaps and do you think it was worth it?

If you are debating between RB20 and SR.. Go SR. RB20 isn't a good motor choice unless you just plan on staying stock.

But.. To answer your question. Over SR, for RB you will need mounts, hammer the firewall a little. Thats it.

yeah... spend a little more, get an sr. its the motor meant for the car. smaller, lighter. same displacement. outputs the same amount of power stock. more aftermarket potential. parts are cheaper on a 4 cylinder than a 6 (ex manifolds, injectors pistons rods)

Agree with all. If your going to swap to an RB series, go RB25.

I'd personally say RB20, I don't care about a little extra weight, buy a RB20, and your mounts, a Ebay FMIC kit, and pop on a Garrett or Turbonetics T3/T4 with a 14 psi internal wastegate, a set of 7MGTE injectors, and a SAFC2, and you're sitting in the high 300's. You could still keep yourself under $3000 in all new parts. RB's respond very well to bolt ons. 350hp RB20 is a lot more fun than a 350hp SR20, thats my opinion.

Go RB Sr's cant make as much power with out building then some rb25 or 20 can handle alot more than sr and you have 9000 redline on RB

Not on the RB20 and RB25 those max out at 7000k. The RB26 only goes to 8000k. Now if you mod the RB26 thats a different story. I have seen built RB26's rev to 11,000 RPM. Hers a vid of on that goes to 10k http://youtube.com/watch?v=UaeNCn5P7Jg

I love my rb20. It all depends how u like u power to come in. The rb's lack low end power but are awesome from the mid to high rpm's. Also the powerband is so smooth. For a drift car I'd probably go with an sr just because of that low end response. If u want something to open up on the highway go rb. rb20 redlines at 7600 rpms but u really on make power until about 6500. And oh yeah rb's sound amazing! lol

It really just depends on what direction you take the car and how much money you're willing to spend on it. I'd say SR but than again I like CA18 and KA-T over both of the above choices.

rb20 are rated at 205 hp. rb25 are 250 hp. rb20 rev a little higher. rb25 are a little newer and have more aftermarket parts available

I forgot this was your thread lol. But it helps out with power and torque at lower rpm.

Here's a link from the NICO forums with a guy running the setup like I was mentioning but a small RB25 turbo, with the T3/T4, or something like a T62-1 you'd see some bigger numbers.

rb20 all the way, cam on valve = Rev higher, sounds sweet, RACE BREAD! , you don't sound like the honda next to you, already top fed injectors, comes factory with a t3 turbo flange, timing belt = easy to disassemble and put head gasket/internals , ALL rb's have piston oil squirters, easy to work on, HEATER HOSES AREN'T SUCH A BITCH muwhahah, way easier to take the turbo off, comes in SKYLINES (not a "chick" car) hahhahaha *FLEX* no puny ass aluminum block.

stock vs stock sr>rb20 , but upgrade turbo, maf, injectors, tune on both of them and rb is more reliable at 350+rwhp

RB *FLEX*!
