does anyone know how i can get this repaired correctly?
i was trying to install my subframe bushings and *crack* POP* and the nut just falls off, :(
i can drive around with one busted bolt, but i dont want to risk it for too long, so if anyone knows how to do this! please tell meeee
So did it strip out the nut or did it break off the bolt thats attached to the frame? not quite sure i understand what broke...

Ok, gotcha. You'll most likely need to get it welded back on.

blah..
it actually only broke off .5" but i cant do anything because the threaded part is where it broke off.
hm.. im going to guess that it'll be a costly job if done @ a shop?
involving dropping the subframe?
nooooooo

Droping the subframe is not hard. I don't think it would be TOO expensive... Let me ask up at the shop tomorrow and see what I can find out.

yeah
i dont think ill have a problem dropping the subframe..
i looked it over via fsm.. its only 4 nuts and the rear shocks holding it up.
only thing that would hinder me.. would probably be the welding of the stud.
i have a fluxcore at home, but im not sure if it'll be enough for the stud?
bah..

Yah, dropping it is really easy. I would not mess around with the subframe since it's what makes your car roll :). Get it done right...

take a picture... are there threads still showing that you could put the nut on?

hm.. i havent even checked for if there were threaded portion left..
the thing sheered right off where the subframe rubber ends.
So yeah, it doesnt' really mater if there are threads or not since you couldn't get the nut over it...
