so i got the 240 back together. minus downpipe and the wastegate elbow... so i go to crank it and it wont turn over... get uner the car and a little spade terminal was pulled loose... put that back on, car cranks... runs like a way over cammed v8. wont idle for shit. so i guess i have a massive vacuum leak somewhere. which is weird because i plugged every hole and made sure everything was snug.

i also had a coolant line pop. so that was fun too.

tomorrow i'll try rtv'ing the intake manifold gaskets and see if that helps. im so over this shit.

Ahhh. . . the joys of motor swaps. sorry shitis going rough man just be patient and it will all be worth it. Good things in life never come easy.

could be a misfire if not a vacuum leak. check your coil packs, plugs, etc

lol, its not a motor swap. turbo upgrade.

i pulled the plugs. looked clean so im thinking the injectors may have siezed while off the motor as the plugs were dry.

i know that 1 and 4 fire.. but other than that im lost. im going to pull thei njectors off when i get back to atlanta and see if all fire. then im going to check the firing order of the injectors against a wiring diagram... i doubt its the coil packs as the car has been sitting with the battery disconected. so i hope they didnt go bad or anything.

but it sounds like its running on 2-3 cylinders... most defintely sounds like a big overcammed v8. its either a fuel or spark issue... probably both

I broke a vacuum line the other day when i was doing my motor mounts... Didn't notice it until later. Also managed to pull off a ground so it kept dying on me and wouldn't idle... You'll find it...

all the grounds are hooked up, all the vacuum lines are hooked up. correct firing order.

runs ok for the first few seconds... then stutters, idle skips then it dies.

the only thing i did was block off most of the coolant shit, so the tb doesnt get coolant and neither does the IACV, but even with the IACV disconnected it wont idle

yea, fuel pressure is fine. tomorrow im going to pull the rail off and see which injector isnt firing... it sounds better now at first but then it stumbles right away.

im going to double check the MAF, check the injectors, re-clean the plugs, check the coils

i've heard the #3 injector is notorious for going bad so we'll see

yea im betting on injectors.

but on another random note. i found a rabbit at the end of my driveway in the nieghbors yard. something attacked it. its paralyzed. he cant blink or anything. he is still breathing but he has a hole in the back of his neck ( i can see his spine) i've put him in a box with blankets and such. if he is still alive in the morning i'll take him ti get euthanized and i'll bury him next to my dogs
