wussup y'all, for some reason i'm dead-set on going with keeping the KA24de and boosting it (with a stock spare engine in the garage, just in case) with a .30 bore, new internals(undecided manufacturers),aem ems stand alone and the GT35 turbo. what i'm running with is a '93 S13.
debate.....
i'm putting up my wishlist on the garage anyway....

well it all depends on your goals.. .which are?

optimistically ? reliable hp's of about 350hp. i reach that goal, i may well reach higher.
bottom end replaced with forged rods/pistons
block, i anticipate boring it .30 over
aem stand alone
top end taken care of as well(decking/port polish/cams valves etc.)
replaced pulleys
on all these things i'm working with a homey of mine(he has more performance experience) to make sure i'm on the right path with what i want to do, and if it's possible. we've all seen the S14 that runs 9's with a KA(that one vid). and i'm looking to what i can pull from mine using the turbo i mentioned previously.
at this time it's my DD, but i have other cars i can drive, so that i can sit this one down to work on it. mylegend has small issues that need to be taken car of to make it road worthy again.

definitely go with the ka24det :)
.30 over?
whats the reason for that unless you have gashes in your cylinder walls? except a little more displacement?
you should be able to reach 350 easily with a gt35.
hell.. just go with a proven t3t4 50trim with 63hot.
you could probably do that on stock motor with just aem ems itself and then upgrade to a built motor down the road.
im planning on installing my setup accompanied by wb02 and safc.
id only be running 370cc and t3 from a Z31. Maybe stock maf.. maybe n60.
i hope to put down a good mid 200 whp.

Yea I dont think you need a GT35, That may be a little laggy too. I would go for the GT3071r.
SR guys are running that turbo and making 400hp at about 19psi, and response is similar to the 2871R. And you have the option of top or bottom mount...
just an idea you might wanna look into. Shit, that turbo plus build the head with Brian Crower stuff and you'll be lookin pretty good.

as far as boring the block over? just increased displacement. funny, i got the same suggestion over the gt35 a few weeks ago that you mentioned...

Don't bother unless it needs boring.
I say go for it. I would also suggest the 3071. The good thing about the KA is, that they are a dime a dozen. Blow it and slap another in. Hell I got 3 KA's myself.
We're gonna do the nissan supercharger on my girls car, so I figure the others will come in handy for parts.

yeah that's like one of the advantages. folks treat 'em like boat anchors and give 'em away. i'll see what i can get out of the ka.

def. build it right and the way you want the first time..
if i still go through with my Ka-T
its getting titanium valve springs/titanium valves/brian crower cams etc etc
knife edge forged crank, forged rods, and either JE or CP pistons..
gt3071 turbo, custom intake/plenum(kinda like the aftermarket sr plenum/intake) and some big ass injectors..
and stand alone ems..
at first i wanted to bore it .30 over, but since my block is clean, no no jsut more $$ for a lil more displacement..
all in all im thinking that setup would put me over 400whp, and 300whp is ALOT in a s13..
