So I cheaped out and bought a fender roller from AutoBody Tool Mart. Thought I was doin good by saving $50 over the Eastwood.

So where the arrow is pointing there are two cotter pins. And everytime I try to apply pressure, they snap. I put the washers infront of them, try to be extremely gentle when applying pressure, and everytime, they snap. I conclude the only way to solve the problem is to weld washers onto the bolt.

But its the principle here, I paid $200 for something that should be designed efectively to work, and not have to be modified to work.

So they are gonna refund my money, And send a pick up for it Monday.

I put galvonized nails through there and still popped em. The only way to cure it is to weld it. And now im kinda satisfied with the way it looks, so eff it.

galvenized nails arent that strong
you need hardened steel pins

iirc..
those fender roller's arent for much than just folding the inner fender tabs.
they dont really "pull" the fender out, instead they just raise it up more.

illusion of "pulling" but not really pulling.

just use a bat between your tires and the body and go to town with a 3lb deadblow with a torch :)

For the price of the fender roller, you could just take it to a shop and them do it.

I wouldn't see you needing the fender roller more than once.
