Help on S14 remote

I am trying to get a factory remote for my S14 and I am running into a little trouble. The fcc id for the S14 remote is KBRASZU02 but the only I can find is on ebay, which cost almost 90. I have been doing some research on the Q45 remote and their fcc id is KBRASZU07. A lot of people says that the remote would not work but on a zilvia post, there is one guy saying that his Y33 (I assumed it is a Q45 since we are in the US) remote works with his S14. Anyone have a confirm on that?

Why not email the guy saying that that worked? And hit him up and ask how he programmed it to work?

take a remote to the nissan dealership they can program it for your car

i have no clue about the fcc id thing, but i know people buy otc remotes for their cars and get them to work...so you should be able to find something

I know how to program it, just wanted to know if there are any other remote that works with it.

I was going to the aftermarket route since there is not much I can do. So I went to the Nissan dealership to return it. But special and/or electrical parts cannot be returned, so I try to solve the problem myself. I look at the FSM and find out that there is one wire under the dash that is for the smart entrance computer for the ignition (key in/out). So I cut that wire and tap it to a 12v source when all doors are locked (I was upside down in the car when doing this). Next thing happen, (click, click). Damn!!! This is it!!! Insert the key and put it to the 3rd position (when your car is running, this is the position for the key) and hold the lock button on the remote. Wait for the 2 clicks again, take the key out of the ignition and open the driver side door, you are done!!! This is the wire that needs to cut and work with.
