It seems like everyone I know that sells their car is selling it because of the tickets.
I have a friend that got the same ticket two nights ago. (It was raining -_-) It was stupid.
Anyway man, take it easy the rest of the day. lol.

ok so i pretty much said it in my other thread but here it goes. in the last moneth iv gotten 3 tickets. i just payed of the first speeding ticket (15 over). and now this morning i got two more laying drag and wreckless driving. all honesty this is what happend i was on my way and there is this slippery ass corner i go over all the time (sand water dirt dump trucks take it theres a rock quary right there) so when i was goin over it i shifted to second throttle stuck hard and almost wide open but i never even got on it all they way! it whipped all the way around shit load of smoke and everything and there was a cop right next to me. so hes all "STAY IN THE FUCKING CAR" so i start it back up after he tells me to and move off the road. he gives me thoose tickets and said i was bullshiting about the throttle. but i mean why would i do it right next to him? so heres the ? when i go to court should i fight the ticket for wreckless driving with these excusses or should i just say guilty and take the charges? will my lisence be taken away? thanks for any help

oo ok thanks man i will tomarow. do yall think my driving privaliges are gone haha? no really tho :( i was gonna race this season
I say atleast take it to court. Make sure to have all of your facts streight, maybe go back to the spot where it happened to have all the information you need when you get to court. A judge will listen to facts usually... Maybe even take pictures of debris in the road or something...

Yah for sure, if the throttle really did stick take it to court... Take pics of what you can and show them what happened maybe?

There is no way you or the judge can prove or disprove the throttle incodent. The judge will probably think you are full of it anyways.
I had a lot of tickets when I was younger. I even lost my license once for too many tickets. If you have the money, I would talk to lawyer. I wouldn't necessarily bring the lawyer to court with you (that's expensive.)
I would go and humbily tell the judge what happened. Don't deny that you did it, but tell him you weren't purposily driving wrecklessly.
Even if you lose your license, they will send you a letter telling you have enough points that you lost your license and that you need to go to this driver's ed class for 2 days and get half the points taken off your license. The judge knows this and will be able to tell if you have enough points that you would need to do this.
Good luck. And if you want to take the class before your court date, that would impress the judge and might drop one of the tickets.

The judge would be the one to appoint community service. I opted out of it even though they said it would drop 2 points off my license.
How many points do you have? Even if you do, you should get it back with the class.

i was gonna just take the consequences for my speeding ticket but i got rly lucky. When i showed for my court case they said i wasnt on the list and the judge just dropped all the charges and i still dont have a record.:)

THis is probably the best advice so far... Judges look highly on stuff like this. I would still tell the judge that it did happen but your throttle did stick. Maybe tell them that you accept responsibility for what happened but did not do it intentionally...

Thank you.
I have learned that admitting that you did something wrong (even if unintentional) makes old fart judges and cop go easy on you.
Now if you go to court telling the judge the cop was a dickhead and he was hate'n on yo drift'n you and he can eat shit if he doesn't like it. You would get the wrath of God thrown at you.
Play it smart, don't lie, they know better.
Also to find out how many points you have on your license just call the DMV. They can tell you over the phone.

okay ive lost my license before. infact JUST got it back. first off talk to a lawyer. mine got the 90 in a 35 taken off and i just got wrecklas driving. =D
saved me a year without a license. so i just got 6 months instead of 18. well in your case i would prepare a road photo, make sure the street signs are in the picture. pleading nolow will get the book thrown at you. you need to do pretrial diversion. try contacting the courthouse before hand. you can talk to them all you want before hand. ask if you can perform community service to possibly get the ticket reduced to just laying drag. isnt that fine like a grand anyways? well if you can get wrecklas taken off you wont lose your license. also if you do pretrial, take the defensive driving course before the court date (mension this to the prosecutor dude) and do like i dunno 40 or 80 hours of community service (btw do it at my church www.fbcw.org) just call the number on the home page and ask about community service. youd be working in operations so mension that if the lady doesn tknow about it. call durring week on work hours. its really easy you push chairs around and move tables n stuff. i did it. all the people are cool too. you can probably get the wrecklas taken off. simply because there wasnt speed involved. so thus there is no actual literal proof of the incident. tell the prosecutor dude you contact BEFORE the trial this. make sure you contact them... alot... till they give in haha. you can talk to people before the trial. ask a lawyer this. almost all lawyers do free consultations. take advantage of this at like 5 lawyer firms. expect 1000-1500 for a lawyer to go to court with you. and if he doesnt show up to court with you and takes care of the pretrial diversion stuff id guess 500+ for that. honestly i went with a family friend lawyer and got out of my ticket fairly well. i even got a 50 dollar fine ... the guy before me got a like 20 over ticket and had a 200 dollar fine .. =D
so in MY case i paid 800 for a family friend lawyer (who is now a judge and KNOWS ME =D =D =D lol) and saved 950 dollars in court fees. AND saved 1 year with a license. so in my case it was worth it. but you really should talk to a lawyer and ask how you can get in contact with the prosecutor dude... it might be a diff name than prosecutor... eh the dude that is on the other side of the court room tellin the judge youre a bad kid. lol
anyways
i know alot about this stupid court systme crap
so if you got any questions pm me if you want
also what county was this in?

simply because there wasnt speed involved. so thus there is no actual literal proof of the incident.
Wrong.
The proof is the tickets. The proof is the cop saw him do it. That's enough for any judge. Even though they technically could, cops don't give out tickets to innocent by-standers.
And unless you want to spend alot of money, or have alot of money to spend, I would say other than free or cheap councel, I would keep the lawyers out of it. They get really espensive, really fast.
