Inner tie rod replacement??

I replaced my tie rods on my other car, and remember having a hell of a time getting the little clip "its square and holds onto the tie rod" that stays on the rack when you tak the tie rod off. I was wondering if anybody has any help with this, seeing as a lot of people replace their inner tie rods with fancy "drift angle" ones. I think if I do it again, I will take a lot of pics.
