I have a ka24e and my gas pedal likes to stick then sometimes get realy hard to push. It also idles very very badly I had the idea of spraying some of sea foams all purpose lube in the throttle body on the butterfly to free it up is there an easy way to clean or maybe some tips maybe should i use a toothbrush on it?

thanks

i used carborator cleaner
had my dad keep the car cranked while i sproayed carb cleaner in the engine
get some carborator cleaner from walmart 96 cents and just crank the car and pop the intake hose off the throttle body while its running... leave a crack and dont take it off too much otherwise its going to die on you (maf) then just spray on the upper and lower part of the intake manifold
i wouldnt recomend toothbrushing it becuase if you drop the tooth brush... um oops... but that would work

First I would see if is the actual throttle body that is sticking. It could be the cable and/or the accelerator pedal itself.

If it is I would recommend taking off the throttle body to clean it. That way you can use whatever cleaning method or chemicals you want. Although I doubt carb cleaner would really hurt anything.

Are you certain it's the throttle body sticking and not the throttle cable. I had the exact same problem with my Starion a few years ago and the cable actually locked up and I had to use string through the hood to get home.
