a cam?
when are you installing? u beter post pics.
If the springs are used, then they should already be broken in.
I would get an alignment as soon as you can, I've never had my hatch lined up, and you can see the uneven wear all over my tires, haha. Not to mention, it pulls like, 30 different ways, haha. But, I still have my Hyperflex kit, new tie rod ends, and if money is right, new shocks and springs to install, so, I'm just waiting til I have everything done before I get it aligned. I don't want to throw money away.

Oh, i was thinking that i should wait for it to adjust to "my" car...Also, would changing a rear differential make the rear outa alignment? I'm putting JJ's S13 hicas vlsd on mine. Thanks.

Well, I would think if they are used springs, then they would have already been broken in.
But I personally would wait til you have everything suspensionwise done before you get an alignment.
And I dont see changing diff's making your alignment change at all, depending on which way you install it.
Some people install them without unbolting the RUCA's and other arms on the upright, some people unbolt that to have more play in the axles, it makes most things a little easier, some people just unbolt the pumpkin and drop it out, without removing anything else. I've done it both ways.
But yeah, wait til you have everything on there then go get it aligned.
I cant wait to have my hatch lined up, haha. Although, knowing me, I will hit a pothole or decide to change something and knock it all out of alignment again.

You asked me if this is my first mod. I was trying to say that the cam swap was the first mod... haha... you are a funny china man:lmfao:

More noticible lower end torque than before. Before it would pull until 3600-5500. Now it pulls harder around 2000, 'the torque you can feel'.....lol
I guess you can say more power is distributed smoothly thoughout the rpm.
Which combo did you go with?
I finally have a set of S13 and S14 cams laying around, haha.

248/232. THe car sounds deeper too now. I like! :)
Oh yea, can i use a normal jack to jack up the car? when i lower the car will the jack get stuck cas of the lowness?...anyone know?
You can use a normal jack. Atleast, on James' S14 when I swapped his diff's, we used a normal jack with no problems. Hes running GR-2's and Sportlines.

so I'm just curious are people just in such a hurry to put something on their car that they buy springs or do they seriously prefer this over coilovers. If it was me I would just save my moneyz and do everything right the first time, so I don't have to deal with another upgrade.

mmmm.....
i cant get a jack under my front...
the rear of my car is at a 1 inch drop now.
front is nearly 3 inches dropped. and theres no way i can get a jack under it
i can barely get a jack under it while driving over 2x4's
but youve got springs.
sooo
you probably have no more than 2" drop
you should be fine

Ok, i'm gonna put the springs on this Tuesday or Wednesday. I know i will need a spring compressor but what other tools do i need? I read through the removal of springs section in the 240 Service Manual, it didn't say any other tools. I'm afraid that i'll need something like a bigger socket for the bolts and stuff. Anyone know?
Oh, i do have a cross lug nut removing thing (forgot name) that i used to remove the strut bolt/nut off a '90 toyota camry le. It's got 3 different sized socket holes.

So i got them on but when i turn the front wheels the springs slide a bit back and forth on the bottom part of strut because they are shorter than the stock ones. Is this suppose to happen? Anything i can do to stop them from spinning back and forth on the bottom strut***65311;It does it because the stock springs are longer than these***12290;
