So my neighbor called the city on me once again. I got a notice on my door stating that I can not run a business out of my home. I guess they think since I work on my car I must be running a business. Apparently I can't have a car parked partially off the side of my driveway in the grass either.

I had a couple of car parts the grass to the right of my garage and an engine hoist for a few days so they called about that. I had a car blocking most of it so you could only see the top of the hoist. I think she sits in her house looking out the window all day just trying to find something to call them about.

I've started to be really nice and quiet after she hasn't bothered me for a while. After she calls the cops or the city again, I'll crank my cars and be as loud as legally possible during day hours. I don't know what else to do still. I have yet to go and talk to her which I still kinda want to do to see if she is at least slightly reasonable.

The one thing that I did that wasn't really legal was pull a motor in the culdesac :). My driveway is very steep and theres no way I could have pulled it on the driveway. My gray car was in the garage and I was by myself so I had no one to help me move cars around... I managed to do it in about two hours and got everything back up in my driveway so I didn't think anyone was gonna car. I did it during work hours too so it didn't bother anyone. I did leave a little stain of tranny fluid tho which they noted on the citation and I cleaned up.

I've seriously thought about that too. She's sent the cops to my house MANY times when I've had people over and we weren't even loud. The cops always say they can't hear us.

Police Complaints I think go on record, but if not I mean you have witnesses she doesn't. In your complaint demand that she shuts up or moves the fuck away.

Yeah, i've thoguht about doing that to one side part of the way up. I've also thought about just laying some bricks down in two rows so I can keep the wheels on it and not be in the grass :).

Try talking to her. It sounds like she just wants to complain about crap bc she hates her life and has nothing better to do. If that doesn't work, I'd talk to a lawyer about harassment if she is constantly calling the cops and even they say you're not loud. No parking on your property, that you own, is a bunch of BS too.
