So do you guys ever get that whole gossip thing going around about the two fastest cars at your school going at it? Sucks when that kid is one of your best friends, also sucks when the car he owns is a 2002 Cobra. His mods are flowmasters, X pipe, Borla Headers, ?? intake. yadayada everyone knows they are big and loud and powerful. Alright, so I've got a KA24DE t. We both have been "talking" about racing for the longest time now and finally got the chance to driving to see "I am Legend" on highway 54 friday night (btw has anyone seeen it ? it was sold out )
Anyway, we both are going about 50 and I am in 5th gear trailing at about 2800 RPM when I pass him (at about 3/4 throttle) crawlin it to get into boost, right when I pass him he drops it into 4th and guns it, right when he gunned it I was about a car length ahead of him and I hit boost, I'm running 7.5psi on a 63 trim T3/T04 and man I actually held my ground. When we hit 100 he said I started to pull away from him. We slowed down around ~125ish and I was still in 5th the whole way through.

Fun race.
Definately gave my car a good pat on the ass for that one.

Thanks for reading, sorry its long. This was a big race for me :ninja:

thats a good run.. theres a punk ass kid that lives near me that has one.. and he thinks its the best thing in the world.. until i find a way to put him on his ass with a 4cyl hehe

no traffic was in our sights from the back or front, but I understand where you're coming from. Gotta be safe.
I have an open diff STILL, so much for circle drifts around the V6's, cept my friends' Cob is a V8. 4.6L I believe.
I guess the turbo fills in those 4 cylinders that I don't have

Way to go.:goodjob:
Now I agree with BigT, keep it on the track. But I admit to a little street fisticuffs myself, but that doesn't make it right. Just check out the bonehead in the Nismo 350z.
But I do so enjoy a good Mustang trouncing.
Next time, be ready, and bust him good.

muwhahhaa, gj my son +1

open 38mm external wastegate dump ftw sir! i love when they're next to you and you hit full boost and the car goes AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! LOL they can't even hear their own rpm's so they screw up when it's time to shift hahha + the intimidation of the blaring exhaust screaming at them.....

gj on the kill, pwn the domestics =]

thanks man! I have a Tial 38 :D IT's LOUD as hell, with windows down at full boost I can't hear anything but an old warplane noise ;) And for my friends who have no idea what it is, omg does it scare the hell out of them the first time riding in an Ext. dump turbo car.

Unfortunately I'm switching to a brand new internal turbo next week :(
it's ok though, I think my towns had enough of the dump

cool!

I was already around 2800 and i hit full boost at 3500 so I was just lazy and let it come.
Plus with all the low end torque from the KA I didn't really need to get RPM happy

That's awesome. Do you have stock internals?

nice man, putting a few wins on that turbo before I snatch it from ya!

Im thinking about routing that dump to right behind the driverside wheel well :)

Oh and I am legend is very good, except for the ending but I wont spoil it.

Thanks Griffin for not spoiling it lol. I woulda been ticked.

And as for the dump, I think the driverside wheel well is going to do wonders for you, except even with it right under my center dash as of now, when it opens up with traffic in the opposite lane, everything echoe's off of the other cars making it a billion times more piercing than it already is.
oh and its a 63 trim for certain btw. :)

just to let you know, and i am in no way critisizing anything, but anyways, 4th gear in a stang is like 5th gear in 240s.

anyways, at my school, no one seems to talk about who has the fastest car except for the very very few car nuts. the fastest cars i know about is a z28 camaro (owned by a 5 foot tall girl who probaly cant drive it) a g35 (owned by a korean guy) and then me and my mustang v8 (im the fastest mustang now that a 2001 GT owner graduated). although i do not know what is under the hood of that s13 in the parking lot (nor do i know the owner). i think i may be the only drift nut, although, again i dont know about that 240

although on second thought 6 speeds are geared a lil lower than the 5 speed stangs
