Yah I know but the outside is so bad since It's been under a bush with no motor for 2.5 months. I plan on riding up the street to the local car wash so my neighbor doesn't call the water company on me again ;).

yeah, the water ban is really cramping my style. i have a couple engine bays that i want to clean up real nice myself, but the cars don't run right now so i can't just take em down to the car wash.

Yeah that hurt me too because my car was engineless the entire water ban but I couldn't clean it then. Now my car has an engine so its gonna be a bit more of a pain. :(

Can you use a bucket of water and a rag?

Try simple green, I bet that will clean just about anything in your engine bay.

do you have an air compressor and one those little air shooter handle majigs? if you do just douse the bay in simple green or whatever, take a hose and rinse it all off then air dry the whole bay with the little blower thingy. you can get it out of the bad spots like spark plug tubes and any electrical stuff ya know.

just put bags over wiring and stuff important..

spray it down, i used to have a few gallons of some high potent degreaser we had at work.. but it got over used and wasted.. cant reamember what brand it was and we dont carry it anymore

i used the orange citrus engine degreaser.
works like a charm, smells good too.

cover your dizzy and alt, plug holes.

spray that everywhere.

let it sit for about ~5mins and go to town with a rag and nylon bristle brush.

it'll come out sparkly clean.
you can do the same with plastics, and then shoot some tire shine on a rag and go over the plastic and it'll come out lookin new.
