Shit gets deep....The title with this vehicle purchased from this guy was signed by him and never transferred. I have spoke with him several times a week trying to get the title straightened out. He is no help. First I was going to just take care of it here in Alabama. Then come to find out you have to know the original owners ssn and driver license number to do that through mail with South Carolina. So I decided to just send the title back to the guy I bought the car from and get him to register it then mail it back to me. I know it sounds stupid but at this point it is the only way I can get a title for the car. So I mailed it back and he took about a month to do it after I sent him 100 bucks to his paypal address. He said his account was in the negative a couple hundred bucks due to a bad deal or something. Eventually he says he got the title done and finally last week said he stuck it in the mail to my house. He mailed it out on Thursday he said. It would have been here Saturday or Monday if that was the case. Nothing in the mail yet, and now he will not answer his phone calls or text messages since Sunday. I got the feeling I just got screwed. I want my title for the car and I will leave this guy alone. Why does this shit keep happening to me? I am to the point now of saying screw 240atlanta.com. It seems everyone I come into contact with here finds a way to screw me over. What happened to the days when you could trust a man's word? I met this dude face to face when I bought the car and he seemed legit. He even knows I am police officer? What's up with that. Dude I am going to come to your house. Hope your ready. Yup...6 hour drive. Better believe I will take off work to go to. I will be sure to bring the police locally with me also. Let's see...Theft 3rd maybe? Theft by deception? Something like that? Oh, ask Chris Arnold what happened to him after he sold me a stolen motor...Oops, you can't because he is in PRISON! Dude you got about a week to man up and fix this shit or I will be on my way to you I assure you.

I have a legit bill of sale, for sale thread on here, feedback thread, this thread, text messages also concerning the sale. I am not worried about proving the vehicle is mine if that is what you are implying. I am a police officer. I know what I can do as far as pressing charges and know what will fly in court.

Just the one I have here at home. He didn't have one when he bought it. He didn't have one when he got the title transferred either. Also had a witness with me when I purchased the car. That stands pretty good in court. Ask Chris.

Dozier I pm'ed him two times since last week about a coolant tank he was supposed to ship like two weeks ago. I paypaled him 30 bucks.he said he shipped it monday again this week.its thursday so yea...hopefully Ill get it even though after seeing this I have big doubts.if it doesnt work I lose 30bucks but never will I get stuff unless I pick it up.

i vote we have an OFFICIAL place of exchange... any business any negotiations and etc should be held SOME WHERE OFFICIAL like a place where it was video taped, cited on paper, and filed. Your suggestion would be great but you must also understand not everyone is in the same location and well it would be a real hassle to have to drive somewhere, maybe an hour or more maybe even less away, just to sell something.

My 2 cents before you conduct business you need to make sure about the part and thoroughly inspect it before paying for it and leaving. Make sure you have very good paper work on whatever you buy. And if you're buying more then one item that needs to be picked up just pick it up at the time of purchase. Even if someone says you can pick it up at a later time I would pick it up right away regardless because you never know what could happen.

That is just my 2 cents.

^^^In Alabama there are ways around that. So I have done it several times. No biggie. However with a South Carolina Title, it requires the ssn and driver license info of the original owner to transfer. I didn't know that until I got back to Alabama. So the whole "being a cop he should of known better" comment isn't accurate. Thanks for your feedback though.


Not to mention that in the sale thread the title was clean, clear, and ready for transfer. I drove 6-7 hours one way to get this car. When I got there, the story changed to, "oh well the title is signed actually". Sellers must disclose this before people waste their time. The price for the car and the length of the drive made it where I was doing it regardless given the circumstances and the fact that I have fixed the title issue in the past with local titles. Had no clue it was going to be this difficult with a SC title.

Dispute the paypal payment because he didn't give you the part. If he can't provide a receipt from the post office the $30 bucks is yours.

Well as for me i have a life just like any regular person. Totyroby never did i say i sent that tank off so idk where you got that. I stated i will TRY to get it out asap. I messaged asking if you needed it and it was a good minute before i got back on here and saw you sent the money. I AM still sending it. I have 3 boxes i am sending. However being the guy i am i got the money from you, took care of what you asked, and even got it notorized. I sent the title thursday when i left my phone by mistake when i went out. When i get back you had a freak attack as if i texted you i was keeping the title saying im going to jail and junk. As always i texted back.

Sorry for any trouble iv caused anyone, everything that has been purchased will be transferred to the buyer. Im a firm believer in Karma so this whole ripping people off shit doesnt fly with me.
