ok i had to rewire(no stock wiring harness...wires everywhere FML) my stereo and it works but its boot leg as hell!
i have my 12v constant hooked up and i have power to my stereo and it all works just that when my car is off it stays on... this is because i dont know witch wire is my 12v switch and i just got it on a 12v constant so i can listen to music when i drive but have to pull the wire when im on in the car... any help with witch wire is my 12v switch??????????? i drive a 95 240sx se
You have to look online for which color is which coming from the car. But the radio if it's aftermarket I believe red is constant and yellow is accessory. I might have that flip flopped.

Just make sure you don't half ass it.
Solder your connections. If you don't have solder get wire clips.

^ truth. I'm guessing they see the stereo's wiring harness and think that cutting and crimping is the way to go! I spent forever rewiring mine because of this
