T67 Supra vs 280z & S14

White mk4 supra /w precision t67 vs me and ivansnow's s14. definately was fun. supra guy was cool, we both got him by a couple cars. hopefully the vid'll get posted up soon on IA. i dunno if he was playin around with us or he was running low boost or something to see what we had, but ivan ran him once or twice and beat him both times, then we all lined up and went. i would think after ivan beat him twice, if that were the case then he would turn up the boost so he wouldn't lose anymore. all in all i think that supra could easily put out 600 or better /w that turbo, but it surely wasn't putting that out last night...

i don't run for money though so i'm not worried. my biggest kill hp wise thus far is a 601rwhp 04 cobra by 1.5 cars 40-120mph...i'm not sure what the weight difference is between the cobra and an mk4 supra but i'd imagine they'd be pretty close...my guess is the supra's probably low to mid 500's *shrug. but it could also be high 500's and he could have had traction problems i didn't ask him. he was a nice guy, i'd like to run him again. the guy who took the vids from behind us said he's posting it up soon. it probably isn't gonna be that great though since they were in a civic (no offense) and they were behind all 3 of us..but you should get the point :P i hope my car shot flames @_@

Did the cobra have traction problems? How much HP is your car making? The cobra weighs about 3780lbs.

the cobra guy said he didn't have any traction problems, at the moment i'm probably around 365-370rwhp 2770lb /w me in it. At 20psi on pump it only made 380 and 14psi was 320 with this z32 tranny. i was running 17-18psi when i ran the supra. (it used to make 370rwhp@14psi on the rb20 tranny =/ )

when i raced the cobra i was making 415rwhp@20psi on pump and i ran him at 20psi on pump...but i was using the 3.5 open diff 4th gear went to 145mph....and then there's 5th....

in my car now i have a 3.9 open diff out of an 83 280zx and fourth gear tops out at 120mph. racing the supra i got to about 4300rpm in fourth, i didn't wind it out, so i'd say we probably went from a 50-100mph before i let out.

ps...it was a grey mazda 3 it was turbo, he had 1 or 2 passengers too.

hey just talked to a very credible supra guy, since he has a t67 on his mk4 lol. he said on pump gas at 16-17psi he's like 540rwhp, and race gas 26psi = 640rwhp. he said depending on the a/r sizes and the guy's tune he could have been anywhere from 450-600. but 600 he would have needed race gas etc which i didn't smell or c any white haze on his exhaust tip. so goes back to my theory that the guy was low to mid 500's, sounds about right.

i was more inline thinking of my car with a t67 like "ZOMG I ROXOR" but on a car weighing an easy 1000lb more with a bigger displacement...the outcome was as it should have been.....dammit...i thought i did good for a minute >_< doh!

that wasn't the vid i was talking about, the one Isaac took, they were directly behind me in that newer body black civic hatch. he still hasn't posted it up lol, but glad someone else at least attempted to get some video. i swear there was like 20 cars that showed up to the wallmart lol.
