Old Newbie

Just hopped over from 240sx forums, glad to see there is a decent sized group of people on this board. I'm 40, have a 91 RX7 with a dodge 360 v8 that runs low 12's at commerce raceway. I am known around north Ga as DR Frankenstien since I like to build hybrid cars. I have owned 24 Z cars with the last 4 being V8 cars. My first swap was a 350 into a 74 celica coupe, lots of fun and lots of work changing rearends til we finally put a ford 8.8 rearend in it. On 150 shot of nitrous, the car went 11.72 even as it blew both head gaskets. Any of you that have been going to commerce for a few years now may have seen it. I also used to hang with the Supra crowd til they became such asses I went on to the RX7 crowd. Same song there, only a few could really appreciate sticking that bastard small block into an FC body so I don't hang there anymore either. I am now looking for an s13 coupe, body only to start my next creation. Anyone with any info can drop me an IM or call me at 904-497-2782.

Don't know yet, I have a Chrysler2.2 that was making 286whp in my brothers Dakota with an HKS package or maybe a Z32from a 90-96 300Z. Word is the Z32 is a real PIA though so I'll probably stay with a 4 banger or maybe a supra engine. It really depends on my mood when I find the right to work with. I've always wanted a 510 w/ an RB setup, maybe I'll try that with a 240 instead.:taunt:

you do that and i will be hounding you to sell it to me. a 510 with a more current, fuel injected, turbo engine just makes me drool for days. have thought about doing one myself, but i dont have the patience to restore one before swapping it.......never mind wiring one up. me and wires do not mix.

if you do build up a 510 please please please sell it to me. coupe dont care what color.:goodjob: :p

nice... sounds like fun. i like mixing and matching aswell..iv seen a 2jz starion,302 ford, and 350chvy, im hopefully gonna be swapping a 4g63 in mine one day.... or maybe just a sr... something reliable as a dd.. good luck with your projects!

I remember seeing a old datsun down at Eatonton a couple years back when I had my old car. Beast had 500+ cubes in it.

I grew up on nothing but domestics. My dad is all about Mustangs, so you might find a couple more on this board that will give respect for your hard work and originality.
