Also. Its a shame the audio in the head unit videos is digital. You really cannot get the full sense of the organic sound ..sucks its coming from digital media too. I have always preffered tubes to transitors. Its literally like a living breathing thing. If it played vinyl itd be even better. IMO amplying an actual vibration (sound) is so much better in principle than converting 1's and 0's to electrical signals, and converting electrical signals to vibrations

The head unit makes use of old "tube style" amplifiers.

Its heavily debatable..

From a "philosophical" standpoint. In a tube system, you have a fluid, flowing ,natural medium. That being arcs of energy relaying the data in a simple fashion.

They tend to transition "smoother" than solid state silicon transistor systems (Anything digital uses those pretty much) and create "warmer" more natural sounds based on my listening experience.

Same goes for digital "media" it self. IE Optical disks, or MP3's or other digital data, versus Vinyl.

if I had to describe the two. Vinyl and OR tubes sounds warm, and airy. Optical media (like CD's) and transistor amp setups by contrast sound colder, and artificial. I have listened to albums side by side on optical media/transistor amp, and vinyl/tube amp. And ive heard layers of sounds I never knew existed in songs I listened to for years

Tubes also are very good at handling electrical overload. They are very high voltage , low current compared to transistor systems. They can take more load for longer periods of time that would probably fry modern transistor systems. (They still use tubes for tv and radio transmission due to this too)


So I was just sayin carlova..its kind of a shame you cant really "hear" it. Because the sound you are hearing is being digitally interpreted through said systems in your computer. You wont pick up the subtleties that the "flow" of tubes allows.
