i had a an alpine type r 12" in the 240sx just enough .u could easily get a 10" and still have nice bass.Like she said go with JL,JBL,Alpine or best one IMO is Kicker .

alpine, rockford fosgate, or kicker would be some nice options.

which would be best for the amount of $$ you'll spend?...that's for you to find out, I've had multiple L5's and I love them, took everything I threw at em and never seized/blew voice coils.

from my personal opinion, as long as u get a good amp, the sub isnt as big as a deal. but i say you'd be cool with a single 12 if you're just looking for a good full bass. not trying to show off. a 10 could probably do the job too.

exactly what do you want it for? just for a fuller bass sound? or to rattle the license plate?

I personally have 2 10" visonik subs (non ported box) off an old mtx thunder 100w amp. (not 1k 100) and if i want, i can beat most people pushing 1500w amps with 2 12"

thats why i say go with some of the older audio, in my experience it was made a lot better.

Something small like a S2k would need something that could rock and holds it's own. I suggest a single 10". From my experiences with all different brands and prices, the 10" sub will react faster to change in beat (rock/pop music) than the 12" sub would. The best subwoofers I ever bought for the money were either the Kicker comp. 10" dual voice coil or the Diamond Audio D series dual voice coil. Both have an outstanding RMS power range, great deep hits and won't bottom out and pop with 20Hz frequency. I recommend them both HIGHLY.
