Will the front brakes from a 1998 Q45 fit on a 1998 240sx?

Does anyone know for sure if the front brakes from a 1998 Q45 will fit on a 1998 240sx? I know that the 92-96 Q45 brakes are a direct swap, however I am unsure of the lager later model Q45 brakes that started in 97 or 98.Thank you for any help.

With the correct mods any setup is possible, but for direct swap I don't think they would work.

have to redrill the spindle to 14mm instead of 12mm

what he said. the earlier body style is a direct swap, it you wanted to pull the spindle and drill it out, it works fine. You NEED to make the hole straight... I would take the spindle to a machine shop to have drilled and tapped if you dont have a press. If its off slightly, you will have a much higher risk of breaking a caliper bolt. A friend had this issue converting to big brakes on his LS1 s10. The spindle is trash if you mess it up... if its a DD, you could just grab junkyard spindles and do the work on the side. they arent too expensive, just plan on replacing that lower ball joint at the same time.

Can anyone describe the Q45 rear brake setup for me?

For example: I think the 300z brakes are disk and then the ebrake is drum. Whereas the 240sx is disk for both the brakes and the ebrake. Personally, I like that. To me, disk are much easier to work on than drum.

So how is the Q45 setup in the rear?

j30 rear dosent work either e brake lines wont line up to use effectively
300zx is the choice
or

2003 rear altima rotor along with the 1985-86 z31 rear caliper brackets

if u have an s13 then a good rear upgrade would be s14 rear brake calipers because i believe the rotors are a little bigger

i would suggest getting q45 front calipers from a 90-96 and put these on the front then buy new tires and new hawk pads all around and it will stop on a dime
