fixing to put the lsd in my car since i have a chance now then its a 300zx lsd should i be able to spin it with me hand? where the drive shaft goes?

you mean with the axles attached? you can just spin a wheel and it will turn. or both wheels at the same time if it wont lock up that easily.

i think he he is talking about where the driveshaft bolts up, not where the axles bolt up. I know you can turn those without the axles attached. and come to think of it, you should be able to turn it there too.

i know but if you spin the wheels, the driveshaft will spin too.

it should all spin if you spin one at a time. and if you try to spin the output shafts in opposite directions, it should be very very hard to do that.

om i have the lsd. should i be able to spin any part of it easily with my hand.? i dont wanna waste a couple hours putting it in to find out if it is bad or not

maybe it's a welded dif, and somebody didn't know which part to weld, haha.

on a more serious note, does it look messed up or super rusty or something? how put together is it?

you mean on the outside? it looks fine. and what do you mean put together? i havnt even started putting it on my car until i figure it out

that doesn't sound right, but i dont wanna give you any wrong info since i have never messed with a vlsd. but i know that my welded and my open diff are easy to turn by hand.

i know tyler and i both turned that vlsd by hand ask him about it. he helped me when we where gonna put it in my car

I'm not sure what your talking about... Just put that in your car then check lol. I've seen it spun myself but Hellfire on this site.
