Dude that fucking sucks and go to court on that "failure to yeild" ticket, fight that shit. As far as the P/S problem goes it could be a bad P/S pump.

Why would you use synthetic oil on your engine? It finds gaps and goes through them. Only use synthetic if you know that ALL you seals are good. Power steering pump might be about to go, too. The civic hatchbacks have like eight gallon gas tanks, also. I doubt you would get 65mpg, even in a civic.

Edit: You said 500 miles to the gallon. Sorry, my bad.

Edit #2: You said you replace you pads three weeks ago. Don't blame it on the duralast pads. You probably have a warped rotor, or something causing excessive wear on your brake system.

okay tighten the belt......

your oil is gone?
lolz....
and eh you shouldnt have been creeping out there... but everyone does it sooo idk.
sucks about the bumper and shizzy driver chick...

and i always get away with warnings on light tickets the cop must have just not liked you lol.

Damn, I thought I had it bad...

That ticket is 100% bullshit. Get a lawyer and fight that shit. Sorry about everything that's going wrong, but don't give up on the 240. If I have learned anything, it's that 240s will give you a shit tons of problems within days of eachother, but once you straighten everything out, they're fine.

My power steering was had for a while and then I found out I had a leak. You might want to check your P/S fluid.

Don't give up. To every negative there is a positive. Sure it might seem like you have a lot of shit in your way, and you do but anything that has a lot of potential to be good takes a lot of time.

My engine was makin rod knocks, I think, and now it wont even start. If that happens to you just buy a new motor. It's gonna take me atleast 2-3 weeks until I can get mine.

I just eat a lot of food and slide on GT4 to let my stress go. :goodjob:

Brakes: Have rotors turned? I went through three sets of rear pads on my S14 in 7 weeks, because I never turned my rotors, and they were all gouged and shit.

PS: Have you ever bled your system after replacing the hose?

Synthetic=Waste of money on a KA. Period.

Belt: Check the tension on it. Spray with brake cleaner while its running, and if that doesn't stop it, get some belt dressing/tire shine/bar of soap, and spray/coat belt with it.

Valves: If you're sure thats what it is, do a valve adjustment/have it done. It's usually not that expensive.

Running lights: if your car is slammed, check to see if the tires haven't rubbed the harness/check if there is a short in the wiring or if there is a small cut anywhere. My hatch is a wiring nightmare.

I hate to say this, but for a "drifter" on a budget, you really don't know enough about your car. Good luck with the repairs.

JJ,

In your long post, all I read were ebay parts, autozone parts, and zipties. Why not use some quality parts instead of ghetto rigging everything? No offense to you but let me ask you like wes asked above. Many people can take things apart and put it together. When you replaced all those parts, did you have the FSM with you and used it when you were tightening all bolts, checking belt tension, preparing the surrounding areas, and double checking all works? I don't think it's possible that all those parts could have gone wrong on one night. Why would you drive around with a busted car after an accident? You weren't at fault, why not get it towed? Who know what kind of internal damage the engine had after an accident? You don't think all those little sensors might have some how snapped off (it is an old car) from the initial impact? Impact at 40mph?? That's serious dude.

Never ever ever EVER creep out past two lanes of traffic. I won't even let people out when they're trying to do that because I've seen SO many bad wrecks happen just like that. I would just turn the other way and find a safer place to turn around. There is no way for you to fight this one... Sucks but sorry :(.

As for the belts and fuses and such, listen to slowbusa. You really need to be checking torque specs and such. It sounds like you're fairly new at this so you really need to be getting an idea how tight bolts, belts and everything else needs to be.

With cars like ours you routinely need to check them to make sure everything is in line. Like oil for instance. You should be checking your oil every time you put gas in it if not more often.

Just start attacking it one issue at a time. Try to learn and read about each problem and solution as much as you can so that you know how to keep it from happening again. The more knowledge you build the more you know how to avoid these problems in the future saving you headaches and time.

Also it sounds like its time for you to replace the valve cover seal... Go find a DIY and do it.

according to the police it was my fault, and all i have to fix is a bumper..its not that big of a deal, im more worried about the ticket not my car.

one of the top valve cover screws is stripped not making a good seal on the last two spark plug grommets (the valve cover gasket and spark plug seal is brand new) i used silicone as well, didnt help much.

and fuck my P/S i dont know wtf is going on, it was working fine up until a week ago, now its weak as shit, like i have no p/s ever!!!!!!

and i live on a budget, so sorry i cant replace my shit with brand new OEM parts from Nissan, i do what i can, and everything worked fine up until that night, maybe it didnt and i just then noticed it, but regardless, im not going to drive on something broken for weeks at a time....

and keep the fucking flames to yourself, i know i might not have done everything to factory spec, but no need to fucking nag at me, just tell me how to fucking fix it or dont say anything

thanks.

I hope that "Dick" comment wasn't directed towards me.
You listed a list of issues your S13 is having.
I did my best to make a list touching on every problem your having, on the cheap/free ways to fix things.

I'm not the one coming on a forum claiming to be a drifter, then pitching a bitch fit over a belt that squeals or some power steering. I'm sorry you wrecked your car, but really, thats what you get for creeping out in traffic, end of story. We've all done something to that matter before, and had consequences from it.

I never said anything about factory spec as well, as I've never done a job that was completely to spec. But don't cop an attitude with me when I try to help your punk ass.

So how about this, from now on out, don't get on here bitching about everything wrong with your hoopty-ass S13, and then get mad when people tell you what your problems could be. Especially when someone tries to give you the easiest ways possible to take care of things, and tries to help.

And sure, I may be an asshole by saying you need to learn more about your car before you claim to be a "drifter", but I think my point in proven when you get pissy about a belt squealing.

Go back to getting SIDEEWAYZZZZ and eBay shopping.

Thanks, and good luck with your car,
-Wes

lol

first of all, you were doing fine on your bit of advice before you added the "I hate to say this, but for a "drifter" on a budget, you really don't know enough about your car." comment.

and another thing, i have beautiful thing called the Chiltons manual for 240sx. I do what they say, and I did do what they say, so dont turn a fucking rant into a cry for help, I know the belt is not loose, it has p/s fluid on it, i know why the spark plugs have oil in them, im confused on the brakes, and the light problem fixed itself...so for you to get high and mighty is pretty pathetic. next time you add a dick comment like that, and you had no intention of insulting me, then realize that its the fucking internet and no one understands sarcasm from someone they've never met. and if you did mean to say that in a dick way, then wtf are you bitching at me for?

and babowc..shut your whore mouth, i had shit with you before and i let it slide, now you are gonna get riled up again? please dont make me put you back on the street. i was even nice to you and offered help when your car got stolen, and that was when we were fighting...now you come into my thread and start shit that doesnt involve you? yeah, go fuck yourself.

i like 240atlanta, because you can start a thread, rant, and sound like a noob, and people offer to help... what happened to that...now im getting bitched at by high and mighty folks and insult me? i didnt do shit to you... so what the fuck

"i need help with all this guys thanks" - JJ Alfano.
That signals "I need help" Maybe its because I can read, I don't know.

I nowhere was high and mighty. I simply broke down your problems into easy fixes, JJ, I've probably ran into every problem imaginable with my hatch, ask anyone that knows me, or it.

I'm not being high and mighty, I just told you the simple ways to have things fixed before it costs you money in the long run. Fucked up PS, and not bleeding it over long periods of time can cause you a PS rack, having a belt continually squealing, is annoying as hell, and is to everyone that would ride with you or is on the road. Valves ticking can lead to a valve sticking/breaking, and in turn, ruining a whole motor or at least your head. Electrical problems just plain suck, I have tons of them, you could just have a short, big fucking deal, its an easy thing to check. Running brakes with never turning rotors just ruins pads, and rotors, and eventually will wear out a caliper. I've had all this happen before.

So for you to pitch a bitch fit, and have the "I'm on a budget, cops fuck with me cause I drive a bright ass green car I pulled out in an intersection and got hit like Osiriskidd's jail bait girlfriend" makes you look even more pathetic.

There is a difference between noob shit, and doing shit that has been covered or is common knowledge/common sense, and just being a plain idiot on the boards.

You asked for help, I tried to help. With a simple comment. Dick or not, I wouldn't be dogging out my car if I didn't know enough about it, and especially if I was on a budget. But thats just me.

And whoo-fuckin-dooo, you have a Chilton's manual. I think every owner either has one, or has it on their computer. Up your reading skills, and look through the troubleshooting section, since you have such a badass manual.

And quit trying to act so goddamned tough on the forums,"shut your whore mouth, i had shit with you before and i let it slide, now you are gonna get riled up again? please dont make me put you back on the street" You look like a fool. Like, I literally laughed out loud on that one.

Put him back on the street? What? Sesame Street?
What shit did you let slide? "Shit, I'm not gonna neg-rep him this time, but next time, its -1 for him! That'll teach him not to fuck with me."

As I said before, good luck with your car.
And if you can't get the Ninja Turtle fixed, go talk to Splinter, maybe he can give your "hero of the half shell" some help, and he won't be a dick.
