so to my understanding there is some sort of adjustment screw that i need to turn to loosen the parking brake shoes. is there any truth to this? because i am not really seeing anything that looks like an adjustment star in there.

if your not planning on re-using them you can hit them with a hammer to break them loose.

i thought there was a specail tool that you had to use on the "rear" brakes

i've been whacking the hell out of the rotor with my dead blow but nothing so far. i'm re-using the rotors because all i'm really trying to do is replace two studs my dad broke off.

pb baster them, then get a 2x4 and put it up againest the rotor and hit it with the hammer.

3lb mini sledge and block of wood.

the BFG hammer worked. also found the port for the adjuster star its on the bottom of the base plate. don't know what the engineers were thinking when they put it there because its completely useless
