Yah. Any suggestions for tie rods for my S13? Are some more adjustable than others? Are the aftermarket ones all the same? ...

I'm thinking something like:

I'm lookin at the tien tie rods but the ones that I see on ebay aren't pillow ball... theyre only 144$ so i think they will work for a while but how much of a difference would the pillow ball ends make?

Still not sure if i'm just gonna get the tein ones or get tein inners (with rods) and some kind of pillow ball outers... Not sure if it's worth it or not.

Any thoughts on these tie rods:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Nissan-240SX-S13-S14-Silvia-Hard-Tie-Rod-Kit-Rods_W0QQitemZ300083944891QQihZ020QQcategoryZ33591 QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

They re made by "HardRace". Never heard of them. Theyre pillow ball but not sure if it's worth it...

I was reading on freshalloy that someone had a problem mix matching inner and outers. I think it was Tein inners and Kazama outers, So I dunno if Tein has a particular thread pitch they use....

Let me see if I can find the link. Just somethin to think about with mis-matched sets

Yah thats kinda my plan now if i don't just get the full tein's... I just ran across that auction and figured i'd get some input...

In the description it usually says if it can be used on the oem equipment, meaning it would have the same thread pitch as oem. If both items say that then they SHOULD work together...

Ok so if it were between the cheaper brand that were pillowball and the tein's that were not pillow ball what would ya say?

Tein is proven...

Alot of the ebay stuff last for a bit, but not as long. Such as the control arms and such, They use cheaper helm joints that start wearing quick and thats just not worth it. And the fact your eff'd if a tie rod malfunctions on the road, especially in rush hour :)

Tein and Peake performance make pillowball ends, both inner and outer sets for under 200$

But seems like somethin like this... http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/phase2motorsports_1936_513770 would be a little more responsive wouldnt you think?

Tein outers are just like stock, just stronger

I've never seen a set of inners and pillow ball outers with rods for under 200... am i looking in the wrong spot?

I went ahead and ordered the tein's and will replace the outers with kazma's or something that will fit down the road...

Well I'm ending up with those right now :-D. Looks like my best option for the moment... My eyes were starting to bleed looking at so many tie rods lol. They try to trick you by showing it all in one pic then listing two different part numbers...
