Ok so let see what we have here. One s13 stripped. One RB20DET and a mess of a wiring harness that I just picked up on a trade. Sound wonderful to me right......... :crying:

So here is the deal. I have seen a fue posts on other sites with this set up have the same problem quote (Help i have fried my ecu because I shorted out my maf) and as you know this will mess up the ecu in a hurry. So the problem was that the maf wires where ran over the exhaust. Well im sure you can guess what happens next exhaust heat+wires= Crap. Well to my point I first thought well the ecu is fried for sure, so i called a bunch of importers to get a new ecu. Well that is like pulling teeth because no one will give up an ecu out of a motor set. Next ebay well this is fine and well if you need a stock tuned ecu, but if your looking for a Mines tuned ecu made just for your set up your most likely sol. So I email Mines and they told me $800 will get me a new one F-that.

Well I took apart the ecu and on the back or bottom of the ecu there was one burn spot part of the board the tinny copper looking flat wire showing that had been separated. So I soderd this wire back together and covered it with electrical tape and installed the ecu. Everything worked fine after the fix.http://www.club240.com/forums/images/smilies/buttrock.gif the location was on the bottom side of the ecu if you turn the ecu upside down and remove the back plate with the harness hook up facing away form you the spot would be on the upper right hand side. Hope this will help anyone that may have this trouble also. Ill try to get a pic up a.s.a.p

By the way if you have a rb20 tranny let me know!!
