So after rebuilding the engine and upgrading/replacing all of the oil accessories such as oil pick-up oil pan and oil pump. I installed my gt2871r after flowing a small amoung of oil through to "prime it".

Welp none of it mattered the turbo was bnib and it felt like it had a little too much shaftplay for new to me but who knew that after 2 hours of cruising it decided to come apart and break the shaft.

I bought the turbo new through enjuku and I just sent them an email about 20 minutes ago so i'll hear back from them whenever they get back into the office. But the turbo was attached to a stock turbo manifold and had the stock wastegate on it so it shouldn't have been pushing it too much.

Either mine was a fluke accident or something but fml they better replace it because i don't have another g laying around lol

And if anyone's wondering it had good oil flow through the lines after removing the turbo i cranked it and oil sprayed out like cyntherea just came

yeah i used the oil restrictor.

I double checked everything I had attached to it and everything was operating correctly. Which is the unfortunate thing. If it was my fault I would hone up to it and I guess have ot eat a $1100 turbo shit. But now I just gotta hope they decide to replace it or hell i'd even let them rebuild it if it's all they'll do for free because I can understand aftermarket companies and shops getting tired of the bullshit with kid's installing stuff incorrectly and then flaming the company until they send them a new one to install right.

I know because I have a friend that does the same thing no matter how much we bitch him out for it.

Only if you knew how much 1 turbo costs the manufacturer to make...

sucks that this happened to you. Normally when the shaft literally breaks in half it is a mechanical fault within the turbo.

ugh... sorry to hear man. I use Enjuku quite a bit at work for motor parts and the shop. They always take care of me, hopefully they will do the same for you!

i had a problem with a starter from them about a year ago. after i took it to auto zone to get it tested they sent me another one at no charge with no other questions asked.

actually the shaft being broke was wrong the way the compressor wheel felt it appeared broken but its just that the bearing on the exhaust side of the turbo is completely gone the exhaust wheel flops around like hell and it makes th ecompressor wheel lean.
