bad brake booster?

i was driving today and i came up on a stop sign and when i hit the brakes i heard a pop and then i had no brakes. it kinda felt like i didnt have power brakes cas it would brake just a little if i pushed hard enough and the pedal was stiffer. looked and nothing is broken on the pedal, the booster line is still hooked up.

the only thing i can think of is my booster is blown but ive never heard of those going bad.

Sounds like what happened to mine, does it feel like the car is off whe you try to slow down? Mine had a leak at the pedal and i could see the vaccum drop on the gauge when I tried to slow down.

if your brake pedal is super hard like when your car is off and you press on the brakes then its the booster, it is possible for them to go bad.

Could be booster or you busted a vacuum line connected to it...

thanks. i was pretty sure it had to be one of those two, just never heard of anybodys booster going bad.
