Laughable..

I can almost guarantee that is a lie. Slander or libel cases are the hardest cases to prosecute in America. No attorney is going to take that case because someone on the internet made you feel bad about yourself. You need to be famous, lost your job, became an outcast in your state, forced to move because of death threats etc..... YOU HAVE NO CASE. And if there is a shred of truth, even if you were just named in that theft case, then your case goes out the window too.

Secondly, the point in a law suit is to gain money. Even if you won, no one on here has anything to give you.
Which means you will spend THOUSANDS of dollars in legal fees and months of hassle for absolutely nothing return. Look up the term "judgment proof".

See how that doesn't make any sense.

its amazing how when you try to help a community out and warn them they might be purchasing stolen parts and try to save a few fellow 240 driver or potential charges pressed against them for "not knowing" the mods step in and restrict the PEOPLES RIGHT TO KNOW! i should call the detective and start prosecuting mods one by one until a name is sent fourth for obstruction of justice for not allowing people to contact them and make sure what the bought was legit. because each thread is closed. if mods wanted to do some thing USEFUL would be to delete all the bs rants on the forums weather it be funny or not and keep threads to the point. i garantee you that if one of the mods cars got stolen and the knew who it was there post would be OPEN all day and night BLOWING up the site. but who am i? average 240sx enthusiast guy. who takes pride in my cars and trying to keep fellow enthusiasts from going to prison and trashing the scene.

IF they really did recover an engine from someone as stated in the other thread, it really is just a matter of time before the accused really is sitting in jail. Considering in the other thread someone mentioned something about the accused stealing across state lines changes things completely...it becomes federal to my understanding and is a far more drawn out process.

He'll probably be charged with a chopshop if all the accusations are correct which will suck for him as normally he will be required to be paid some form of restitution. Also, as other states, no lawyer is going to give a rats ass about things being said on a forum. There was a guy in Conyers, Georgia that worked at Conyers Honda who just happened to live in Paulding County. He was caught and charged with many charges including chop shop. He was required to pay restitution to all the people that he stole from after they linked all the cases to him, it took them a year to prosecute him and if I am not mistaken, he's still sitting in jail.

The info I stated is based on things I've seen and may not apply the same way in this situation.
