Alright i've been riding around with no music for over a month...the hum of a ka is only soothing for so long

got some speakers from autozone cuz im selling this car soon but anyways...

there was one speaker amp in the car(dont know where the others went) and its on the rear right speaker. all of the speakers were working except this one. so i jiggle the wires on the amp a lil bit and it works on and off.

So then i figure that all the speakers can run off of the head unit so i cut the amps wires...

no more rear sound at all

what to do/??

Take your car to an audio shop or someone on here that knows what theyre doin :). Doesn't sound like you know enough to just be cuttin wires.

I don't really understand what you just explained. And why would you just cut the amp wires on the one speaker that worked?

What all is wired into the car? Did it work before? Start from square one...

i installed the head unit last week and it turned on and worked fine..but i then found out i had no speakers.

so i installed the speakers today. i dont know much but all this stuff is pretty much common sense to me idk

all the speakers are working except the one with the amp

so i removed the amp from the situation thinking that it was the reason why it wasnt working

now both rear speakers are not working

I agree with flip, take it to a sound shop. Next time don't buy audio equipment from autozone, always go to a sound shop or best buy, circuit city, etc.

You could always just run all new wiring direct from the headunit to the speaker locations, or, to make sure your rears didnt blow, take them out, and hook them directly up to the headunit.

Try that, and make sure they work, and if so, then go get a thing of speaker wire, and run fresh wire directly from the head

just remove the amps

rip them bitchs out and rewire the entire car speaker from the head unit...

that's what i had to do in my 95 ka

it's a bitch but it was easier since my center console came apart easy since it's a 5speed

eh i have a writeup about this somewhere
i researched and found the pin-outs for the amps
its really straightforward.
the smaller gauge wires going in are from the head unit, the larger going out are to the speakers
one amp is for the rear one is for the fronts

thanks for the help

alls i had to do was run it directly from the head unit like i said i wanted to do...

I just had to get back there and find the right wires to connect to the speakers....it was easy once i decided to get it done
