Hey guys, I'm in the midst of installing the Viper 5701 alarm on my 98 Kouki. Has anyone installed one of these in a 240 before? If so, I’m having trouble trying to determine which connections to make and what wires are not used…

i think you'll need a relay to get the door lock to work.

you don't need a relay for the door lock to work.. it's a trigger.

also if your car has the factory keyless.. you will need to also have your alarm disarm it as well.

You're right, I don't need a relay for the door locks. And my car doesn't have the Factory Keyless option, so I'm good there.

What I’m unsure about are a couple of wires (2, & 7-9) on the harness for the remote start (H3)

This is what I have connected so far:

[Alarm Harness] >> [Car Ignition Harness]

1.) Pink (Ignition 1[+] Output) >> Black/Red (Ignition)
2.) Red/White (Fused 30a – Contact 87 of RS Flex Relay) >> ??

3.) Orange (Accessory – Output) >> White (Accessory)
4.) Violet (Starter – Output) >> Black/Yellow (Car side of starter wire)
5.) Green (Starter – Input) >> Black/Yellow (Key side of starter wire)
6.) Red (12V[+] Constant – Fused 30a) >> White (12 Volts Constant)
7.) Pink/White (Flex Relay – Output) >> ??

8.) Pink/Black (Flex Relay – Contact 87a) >> ??

9.) Red/Black (Fused 30a – For accessory and starter relays) >> ??

Do I need to connect these wires?

I don't believe so...

did you hook up the door lock and unlock trigger to the nissan factory trigger?

Also.. did you tap the parking light wire as well?

Yes, I made the connections at the Smart Entrance module (Lt. Green/White [Lock] & Brown [Unlock]). I also tap the wire for the parking lights (Red/Blue).

What I wasn't sure about were those wires on the remote start harness (H3)
