I saw this on the news this morning. I haven't heard the sound tho so I wasn't really sure what was going on. Looked like a really bad wreck tho.

definetly. The thing im worried about is police trying to enforce whats going on in like they do in California. Catch u street racing or suspected of street racing = Crushed Cars. I think the cops and the city will use this to try and enforce a law like that just because of a few dumb kids. This is the second bad racing wreck in the last few months that involved some dumb 15 or 16 year old kid on city streets.

geez if ur gonna race at least do it on a clear highway and kill yourself if you wreck.

I think all street racing is dumb. If you want to race go to the track, no cops, no traffic, and racing on the track is more about driving skill and less about hp..

They only crush it if you have been convicted of mulitple counts of racing. I lived in CA and was caught racing. For a first time offense they suspended my licenese for 6 months and fined me $500. I heard on the news this morning that it was uncomfirmed if it was racing or not, either way its a tragedy to lose someone so young.

Street racing.. uhg idiots. But it could have also been some idiot pulling out of their driveway not paying attention and hell if you doin 55 down sugarloaf you wouldn't have time to react other than lane dodge

I used to street race till I learned first hand how dangerous it can get. I was lucky no one got injured or killed... but people could have... both cars lost control on a turn and the other one through an isdland into oncoming traffic and over the curb into a parking lot. no one called the cops thankfull and the parking lot was a church and they took us in and talked to us.

i just saw the video..and i gotta say DAYUM peachtree ridge high school went through a lot of deaths.

1.first their valedictorian and his father were driving, then hit by a drunk driver. the father lived but the son died.

2. my friend james cha, along with 2 other friends of his, was making a left turn, then a huge logging truck t-bones his car. all 3 died.

and now another death? i feel sorry for that school. they have a lot of students who are 'gangster' and i believe peer pressure and making friends in the wrong crowd could be a factor.

Nah I talk to myself while I am awake. I will be working on some code, math, and abstract thinking type things I will talk to myself. It helps me think better :goodjob:

This is true, but I know when I do choose to race or go fast as hell there are not that many cars on the road to get in the way and cause issues. Between stop lines is one thing, but between stop lights you shouldnt get going more than about 60. I know my car's 60-0 braking distance is less than 100 ft. Highway runs you have to be smart about. What does the road look like up ahead, are there lots of other cars out there, and are there any cops.

I have done stupid shit like weaving through traffic doing more 100 mph(once), I have wrecked on a decrease radius hairpin(once), and I have slide a car into a ditch(once) as well. No one died or got injured save one person that wasnt wearing thier seatbelt who got a bump on the head from snap over steer.

Racing in heavy traffic, threading the needle jetting across intersections, drunk driving, and going WAY to fast in areas with no shoulder and lost of trees is quite dumb. If I died like that I would accept the fact that I would be called a dumbass for all enterity.

That is why I feel sorry for the friends & family and not so much the teen that died.

If you are going to do dumb shit atleast, try to do it in the safest way possible.
