power steering rattling

my power steering is jacked up...

the pump is rattling as of a couple days ago

and the pressure hose has been leaking since i got it a few weeks ago...

what can i do w/o buying a new pump??

Where is the hose leaking from?
My hatch hose had a small split it it where it connects to the pump, I just cut it smooth and used 2 clamps on it, and then bled my PS.

until then, refill the reservior so you dont starve the PS pump.

its coming from where the hose meets that ball lookin part of the high pressure hose..

i read that i can replace an oring or something but i dont wanna do that and have it still rattling

i dont get the pun haha do u really wanna sell a pressure hose or ..i dono oh well

tried lucas stop leak...i didnt work, its still got that in it but leaking away

well, its probably not rattling, but squealing.
it just sounds like its rattling.
vice versa.

anyways..
ball part? if its in the middle of the high pressure line, its a bad line.
if its by the pump where it connects to the pump via banjo fitting, just tighten it up.. i think 17/18 wrench fits it.

there are two copper washers on the banjo fitting.
like..:

== is the fitting
() is the copper washers
{ } is the fitting from the highpressure line
-- is the threaded part of the bolt
[] is the nut part of the bolt.

uhh im a little lost w/ ur symbols and shit but ill tighten that up and see what it does

so is the messed up high pressure line causing that noise?

cuz the pump just started rattling and the lines been leaking for a while

do u know that ball thing im talking about...its the high pressure line

but it doesnt directly connect to the pump at the ball fitting where its leaking

is this ball thing i speak of the banjo fitting?

or is that where it splits off and goes to the pump?
